Kofax acquires Nuance Document Imaging – What does this mean for Nikec customers?

About the acquisition

On 1st February 2019, Kofax a leading supplier of Intelligent Automation software to automate and digitally transform end-to-end business processes, announced the closing of its acquisition of Nuance Document Imaging (NDI), a division of Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN).

NDI provides software to help organizations optimize their information-based capture and print processes from being labour intensive, error prone and costly, into becoming highly efficient, automated and secure.

Through this acquisition, Kofax is driving customer value by adding key technologies, including capture, print management and document security on MFPs, to its end-to-end Intelligent Automation platform.

Products in the NDI suite are Copitrak, Equitrac, eCopy, Power PDF, Autostore, Output Manager & Safecom.

What does this mean for our customers

As a Nikec customer using one or more of these solutions you may be wondering what this means for you. All of these products were purchased by Nuance at some point over the last ten or so years, with the most recent ones being Copitrak at the end of 2012 and NSI (Autostore/Output Manager) in 2014.

The answer is nothing changes. Nikec continue to support these solutions to help you improve efficiencies within your business.
